Heather Michelle Woodward, 39 of Phoenixville passed away suddenly on December 16, 2018.

Woodward, Jr. and Suzanne Woodward (nee DeSanto), granddaughter of Carmella DeSanto and June Woodward the late Carmen DeSanto and the late Douglas L. Woodward Sr., niece of Sherri Haines, Carmen and Theresa DeSanto, and the late Donald DeSanto, cousin to Emily, Rebecca, Carmen Jr., Kelly, Christopher and Zachary and dear friend to many. Heather was a mentor to those she served as a drug and alcohol counselor at The Lincoln Center. She took pride in her work and was extremely successful which was shown when clients entered the program and specifically requested her. Heather enjoyed taking her kids to the YMCA, spending time on the beach at Wild Wood, NJ , but most of all her children were her world. She touched the lives of so many and will be deeply missed.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I am so sorry to hear this news. Heather had an enormous heart and bright mind. I have fond memories of being at Naropa with Heather. May her light return to all who knew her brighter and may her memory inspire those to be better humans... as she was an inspiration.

I had the pleasure of working with Heather and am deeply saddened by her untimely passing. It was clear that Heather was deeply connected to her calling in supporting, teaching and influencing others. Her passion for her work was evident. Heather was a light that shined where darkness prevailed and a blessing to those she was near. Sincere thoughts and prayers to her children and family in need of incredible strength and comfort at this time. Please know that Heather has truly impacted others in a positive and lasting way and her light still shines through those that knew her.

Heather was a colleague and partner in my autistic support classroom. She works hard to help me with a very needy family and we quickly became friends. Heather was available to me and the family at all times of the day and night, and we often enjoyed and collaborationsabout what we could do to help. Together, we were a powerful team as was evidenced by a full SUV of Christmas presents which was delivered to this needy family, before Christmas. I will miss Heather spirit and her attitude and most of all her friendship.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Woodward, I was so terribly sad to hear the news. From afar in Massachusetts, I enjoyed watching Heather's confidence as a mother and advocate blossom (via her posts on Facebook). As a mom I ache for her children, but know that they will be surrounded by the love Heather had for them via family and friends. My thoughts are with you. Katie Duffy McDonnell
